I need to move some files to a new PC, about 40GB worth of my CD and iTunes collection.
I can connect the new PC to my Netgear router and using the networking wizard transfer the files over that way. But is it possible to link the two PC's directly together via their Gigabit network ports and move the data faster? I've got normal CAT5 network cable and X-over box with a short CAT5 lead on it. Is it possible?
