someone hacked me last nite, installed a shell and a trojan, on my win xp partition. i managed to get rid of both, however now it acts like it has 16mb of ram, and IE crashes every 10 mins, even when its not running :S

fortunatly i have ubuntu on a seperate dual boot partition, which is what im using now.

however i miss the videos i have on the windows partition......... is there anyway i can get them onto the linux partition so i can view them ?

also i cant stream video , ive installed the stuff in package manager, yet it wont run them, sadly the site is a porn site so i cant link it as an example.

ty!

Yep, you can access an NTFS partition from Linux easily. There's a page explaining how to automatically mount a Windows drive each time Ubuntu boots... have a look here.

As for streaming pr0n... this could be for a number of reasons, but it's possible that the website uses DRM to stop people grabbing the files and sharing them on Kazaa or edonkey, etc... If they're using DRM'ed .wmv files, I doubt they'll ever work outside a Microsoft OS.
