Hey guys, tempted to buy a big ssd on black friday for my pc games.

Which is the best way to move all my games between hard drives.

Steam library
Origin games
Uplay

thanks :)

Depends on your setup, do you just have the single drive now? Is your OS on the same disk as the games. Do you want the new disk to be the OS aswell etc.
If you want everything on your current disk on the new drive then just clone the disk with something like https://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html

If you just want to copy the games, for Steam install it on the new ssd (close steam) then copy the steamapps folder from the old disk to the new drive. Reopen steam and run those games, it will pickup they are installed. You may want to double check your save game locations aswell to ensure you dont loose them.

os is on its own ssd, all the game launchers like steam and origin run from the ssd but the games are on a seperate hdd

In that case I would clone the HDD to the new SSD, then change the drive letter of the New SSD to to whatever the HDD was.

Might seem a bit long winded but here is what I do.

Copy the folder containing the game from the steam library on the old drive to the steam library on the new drive.
Tell Steam to delete the local files
Tell steam to install the game and select the folder on the new drive, it then discovers the files and confirms installed.

As I say, maybe not the quickest but I'm generally just moving one game at a time, as once I finish playing something I tend to move it from my SSD to mechanical drive.
