Transferring number within the same network

So I assume the method of doing this is still to port the number outside of the network first and then back in?

If so, is there a preferred sim that I should use to do the process? Are any networks quicker at getting this done than others?

I'm currently with EE and just got a new EE contract through a third party seller.

So, you want to transfer your mobile number to another Simcard on the same network?

Porting out to an external network is correct since you didn't go direct with EE.

As for are any networks better than others? No not really.

Last time I used a IDmobile 1 month rolling sim

Did it with Giffgaff recently, smooth automated process and took 24 hours each way with EE. Had to stick £5 goody bag on though, there might cheaper alternatives.
