What differences would i need to make when transferring two disks from an nfroce chipset to an intel chipset? would i need to reinstall the OS at all? I just ask because at windows install you identify RAID controllers and drivers before setting partitions and i already have two full arrayed disks i need to transfer :(

afaik you generally need to transfer an array from 1 controller to a simi lar 1 for it to work (e.g. Intel>Intel, nVidia>nVidia).
Otherwise I believe that you'll need to backup first, then build a fresh array on new board & reload all your stuff.

Your best bet is to 'ghost' your array onto a single drive, build a new array out of your drives, and 'ghost' back onto them.

I'm guessing you ant to maintain an install from one Motherboard to another - don't do it!

it will never run as well as a fresh install, if it even boots! take the opportunity to de-clutter your pc.

just backup your documents folder, and any DLC folders (Steam-apps, itunes for instance) so you don't have to re-download everything again.
