Transferring saved games from one PC to another

I've just bought a new rig and am halfway through reinstalling all my programs and games. Is there a way to transfer my saved games from my old rig to the new one? Specifically, COD2 & HL2 and my Steam account details.

ps. If this is the wrong board could a passing Mod please move. Ta.

Well, all you'll need to do is find the saved games for said games, then copy + paste them over to the game folders on the new PC.

First place to find most savegames is the game folder. If not there, then they'll usually be found in My Documents somewhere.

For your Steam account, just install Steam and log in as normal, don't need to copy anything across except maybe the .gcf cache files in the SteamApps folder so you don't have to re-download the games.
