Transferring system to new case

So I'm new to this... I've always had my PC built for me at my local shop, but they've recently gone out of business. My friends tell me that they over charged anyway and I've shown an interest in learning how to deal with the hardware side of things before now.

I'm looking to transfer my computer's innards from a cheap case by In Win. Admittedly, I skimped on it when I asked the guys at the shop to built it, and they did a great job but the case is awful. It's small and the heat builds up quickly. Keeping respectable temperatures during these summer months is somewhat a nightmare. Aside from this, I'd like to preserve the longevity of the components if I can (even if I do plan on upgrading again in a couple of years).

So, without further ado: Is it relatively easy to transfer a system from one case to another?

Specifically, I'm looking at getting a Corsair Graphite 760t V2 (in silver/white) or a 780t. Currently, the 780t is a little cheaper than the 760t - which is the better case in your opinions?

The case I have now is a mid size case but I do indeed have room for a larger one, and I kinda like the idea of the windowed side panel to show off some of the components.

Is there anything I really need to be considering? I'll be air-cooling the system. I've only lightly overclocked the components so far. I'm fully aware that I'm still a novice at this ;)

It is fairly easy to do the transfer but i would make sure you put the cables from your hard drive/s back into the exact same ports.

If you don't put the hard drive cables in the same sockets on the motherboard, then the PC may well fail to boot up & you will have to go into the Motherboard BIOS to get the PC to recognize the bootup drive (usually marked as C drive in windows) first.
