I have recently transferred all my TV show series from my NAS to my Mac Mini and imported them into the Apple TV library so that I can watch them on my Apple TV box via the Computers app. This only works on the LAN.
Once imported the individual episode titles do not have any series or episode numbering, which is all retained in a database file. I would like to be able to transfer these to my parents’ house, who also have a Mac Mini and an Apple TV, to watch in the same manner.
Is there a simple way in which to copy the local Apple TV library and database from MacOS to an external hard drive, which I can then point the other Mac Mini to use? Meaning the Apple TV app will automatically recognise the database file and import all the relevant episode data about the files. Otherwise I will have to copy just the files and sit and import them all again - a tedious task the first time round!
