I have a Windows 10 Pro Retail installation on my old PC. I am building a brand new system and want to transfer this Pro license to the new machine. I understand this should be possible as I have a retail version. I will of course need to de-activate the Pro license on the old PC once the new one is up and running.
I want to carry on using the old PC as a second PC but running Windows 10 Home. I will of course need to buy a new Home license for this.
However, I would prefer not to do a clean Win 10 install on the old PC for a variety of reasons. Is it possible to downgrade an install of Win 10 Pro to Win 10 Home without a clean reinstall?
