I have just installed a new 1.5TB driver and I want to transfer my current Win7 partition onto it and then use that drive to boot. I have Acronis so I can image it across but I am wondering what about the 100MB system reserved partition that is at the start of the drive.

Currently i have this:-

100MB System Reserved
205.08 GB Win7
28.58 GB Other Stuff (docs)

and what I'd like to do is transfer it onto the big disk setup like this

100MB System Reserved (I take it I need this?)
300 GB Win7 (note change in size - is this possible?)
1000 GB Other Stuff

The other stuff is easy just to copy across but I just want to make sure I end up with a working Win7 installation at the end of it.

TIA

Yeah but then what about the unused data?

Unless I deleted and recreated the other stuff partition to envelope it all.... ?

Trying to use Acronis but when it reboots from Win7 to copy the HD it does the checking and analyses the partitions and the says it has completed the job when obviously it hasn't - stupid acronis (or daft me if I'm missing summat :S)
