Transferring Windows 7 License to another PC

I'm in the process of building a new PC and am quite happy with Windows 7 Ultimate which is the full blown copy, not an OEM version.

What i'd like to know is if I can install it on my new PC and then use the License key to activate it whilst at the same time still using my old PC with no issue's? I would use the new PC for soak testing for a couple of weeks and to transfer all my data and programs and then wipe it off my old PC.

install it on the new pc without entering a product key. you can then use it for 30 days before having to enter your product key and activating it. at this point, you should then wipe the old pc.

When I was using Windows 7 and went from one machine to another the key would not accept once installed, until I called the telephone number (on the activation page). I then entered a load of numbers ans instructed and it activated without any problems while I was still on the phone.

I'd do as marc suggested and run it as a trial version, you may need to activated it via telephone anyway when you go to use it.
