I want to transfer my 500gb M.2 boot drive from one PC into another. The PC it came from is AMD with a 1070ti and is going into an Intel build with 1080ti. Whats the procedure here, normally I just wipe the HDD and reinstall windows but i'd rather not this time. Will windows pick up the change in Hardware and uninstall/reinstall the new drivers automatically or is there something I should do to make sure it is done properly?

Thanks

Windows is a lot better than it used to be moving hardware. It would be fine if you're running Windows 8 or 10. I've moved an ssd from an Intel laptop to an amd desktop and it booted right up. There's nothing you need to do really.

It's Windows 10. I'll give it a go tomorrow then, hopefully it all goes smooothly.
