Hi.

Just been trying to play the transformers hd-dvd on my xbox 360 with the hd-dvd drive addon but it doesnt seem to work. I put it in to the drive and play it, the drive whirls but goes straight back to the dashboard 30 seconds later. Ive played it once before and worked fine. The disk has no major scratches on it and ive cleaned it well also. Any other hd-dvd works fine even the transformers extras disk.

No problems here (first time trying transformers, had it sitting in the box for a while :o) It stayed on the web content downloading section for a while but other than that its playing fine.

You using component? Or HDMI?

Transformers gives a lot of gyp sometimes, and I think it's caused by the online component.

Go to the memory management section of the console itself while the HDDVD player is attached and on. The drive will show up as a storage device - go into it, and look for the Transformers saved data. Delete it, restart the console then try the disc again after giving it a wipe.

Cheers, will give this a go. Thanks also to kyle for his help. :)

Glad to hear it. :D

When I first got it I couldn't get it to go past the first scene with the chopper flying across the desert - movie went all choppy (no pun intended) then froze. Found that fix after some frustrated interwab searching and it's played fine since.
