Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

It'll be the same old ****, but I'm in because they've gone with G1 oldskool truck Optimus, something that looks like Arcee and my favourite transformer toy: Jazz (the Porsche).

Hmm...the animation could do with a bit of a polish. Cheetor (if they're keeping the old names) doing the flip at the end just looks off, and the very end with Optimus Primal clashing too...there's just no weight to them. They're supposed to be huge, hulking machines. Just give us a full film like the Bumblbee flashback already. Cut all the humans. They're completely useless and serve no purpose other than to gawk and scream the bot's names every now and then.

Cannot believe they are still wringing this franchise out ! ! Wasn't Last Knight bad enough ?

I mean I guess that depends if you think they don't like printing money. Last knight made 600m...

If film studios could show you a blank screen for 2 hours and make millions they wouldn't give a single ****. They only care about money and Transformers is about as sure to do that as Pokemon in the game world. You could put out complete crap and make hundreds of millions.

Hopefully they learnt from Bumblebee and go more that way with it but doesn't look like it from the trailer, still it's going to be at minimum 2 hours take your brain out and enjoy the action spectacle.

I only saw the original transformers cartoons so for me all this beast stuff is new. We saw the dinobots in the last movie, which seems too similar to this in my opinion.

End of the trailer just looks like an Avengers Endgame clone. I won't watch this at the Cinema, as I did for the first 3 films. 4 and 5 were a bit rubbish anyway. Bumblebee was good but mainly cos of Hailee Steinfeld.

More excited about Indy 5 trailer.

Meh, would have been more interested if it was going to have Unicron in it which was what the last turd of a movie was setting up. Could have still included that character in a different way.

I had no idea they were still pumping out this dross :D

I think I stopped with the 2nd one when it was obvious that the 1st was the peak and it was all down hill from there but I'm sure I saw Bumblebee on TV maybe, not too sure.

Just quoting an old post.

So you do remember films were bad for other reasons, as opposed to now when it's often blamed on "wokeness"? :D
