Hello all,

What are your opinions on the newly released Transformers Game? I imagine you follow the story line of the film.

Anyone played it or read reviews on it?

Just bought it for my Wii, hope it's good fun. Bought the last Transformers game made by Atari on the PS2 a years or so ago, that was pretty good, but not brilliant.

Any comments welcome, be they good or bad...

I'm a massive TF fan (G1 not just the new film) and even with high optimism found it to be nothing other than average.

The first few times you transform is pretty cool, but the game is full of bugs and annoying gameplay. Handling in vehicle mode is pretty dire as well.

This was on the 360 BTW...

Not played it, from the reviews I read and the GT review I watched it seems like a bit of a stinker.

From what I've seen this is supposed to be a real turkey.

Doesn't really suprise me either. The game was suddenly rushed into developement for the film - the people behind it didn't have to create a game that had depth or any great mechanics, it was always going to sell this summer.

Pah that doesn't sound hopeful, epecially coming from TF fans.

I will give it a bash on the Wii tonight (decided on that version rathert than the PS2 version) and if it's pants i'll take it back tomorrow.

I'm weird with games, sometimes i am the opposite to reviews and sometimes i am paired much the same.

Anyone give any thoughts on how it compared to the Atari Transformers game? That was quite fun, although some levels/maps were just too big.

Seen 2 magazine reviews, average score 3.5.

A few online game sites are saying steer clear! Average 4!!

utterly utterly rubbish, as you would expect from a film tie-in. The movies great though, just watch it and pretend you're controlling them or something :D

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i played it for the first time last night, all be it a little tippsy. IT was, as predicted a compelte waist of time, money and effort. I even plugged my wii back in to play it.

The graphics are PS1 quality, the camera angle/angles is the biggest downfall. Driving around shooting, and fighting is good fun with the Wii remotes, but controlling the camera and getting used to it is rubbish.

It gave such an old feel where when you crash into other cars, they just flip over and carry on moving and no damage.

Technology in games has moved milestones in the last few years, this game seems to be about 5+ years behind.

I'm taking it back in my lunch break to where i bought it. An utter dissapointment and let down to an awesome film.
