I well look forward to the movie - for some reason I was hoping that they'd CGI the old one with the same story etc. I would certainly pay to see it again!

so this new transformers pic is like going to be based in real life with cgi, so not a cartoon, forgive me nooby questions but if thats the case its going to rock

yup, i don't know if it was actually confirmed, but the stories going around were that the citroen adverts with the transforming, dancing and ice skating car was actually a testing scenario for the cgi technology to be used in the movie.

just a rumour though, i never saw it totally confirmed.

Note the flame decals on optimus...

...and the general idea seems to be that megatron looks rubbish.

Good find. I'm hoping it will hold true to the series though. Megatron doesn't look based on a weapon, vehicle or what not there.

I would guess that's what he looks like before he takes shape of anything.

Besides it's only concept art.

Michael Bay?

I thought it was Spielberg

It is!...Michael Bay is the Producer... Speilberg is the Exec Producer its a 'Dreamworks Studios' Production (thats Speilberg that is!! :D )

*roffles* beagle 2 seems to have had a use in the end after all!! :D 50 million quid to give a move a plausable plot line

the music sounds excellent. as for the art work thats floating about i really wouldnt put much stock in that... its VERY doubtful that they are going to be coated in "flames" and "go faster stripes!" and also have body parts resembling that of a truck or such... i think they will be big, blocky, mechanical looking, but not obviously transformer like in the traditional sence. simply because it would be implausable for an alien race to build these monsters and they "just happened" to paint some flames / go faster stripes / and gave them a nice set of alloys on their ass...

I believe the storyline will start on cybertron, where they have cybertronian bodies, however when they land on earth they take on forms resembling earth vehicles, hence the trucks/flames/alloys etc.

I doubt they're going to accurately recreate the characters from the tv show, they'll definitely be re-doing them to appeal to a new generation of kids, and as we all know that means 'the fast and the furious' flame decals and go faster stripes

For one example Bumblebee will no longer be a VW Beetle, but a Chevrolet Camaro.

Story starts on Mars.
