Transit COnnect

How did we get from whats a Transit Connect like to how fast can you go? Only in motors really.

Back on Topic we have a couple at work and the drivers want there old vans back. Not sure what they had before thoe.

Judging by the way Transit drivers drive I'd say they must be absolutely uncontrollable. The throttle response must be digital, the mirrors can't work properly, the speedos must all be broken and they constantly change width. :p

I drive the 90ps crew cab version quite a bit. They're noisy, gutless and handle like a boat for such a small van. It's quite entertaining to drive them fast though, you can slide them on roundabouts quite nicely if you're really trying..

The pillars are huge and make me sit at a funny angle so I can see round them. The windscreen is at such an angle that your sat nav is bloody miles away from you. It feels like you're sat on top of it, but that might be just be because I'm used to my cars. The seats are totally unsupportive though. They're not at all comfortable as the driver, but as a passenger they're surprisingly good. You can fit 4 people comfortably in the crew cab, they feel roomy inside because of the high roof.

They rust and are a bit gutless but are generally ok, the King of small vans is the caddy buy you pay for it. Any particular reason you want a connect over a SWB low transit? The transit is better all round. If you are in the SE I know a good dealer ;)

Wow that escalated.

Yeah swb transit a bit too big. Would prefer a caddy but as said they are a bit more exspensive. Was hoping to get something a bit cheaper for a year or two to tie me over for a year or so until I am self employed again, but going by the comments in amongst the other stuff I shall give it a miss.

The Corsa Combi (think that is the name). Is nicer to drive than the Transit Connect and has a longer load area. That could be an option.
