Took out rear cargo light to give lens a clean putting it back in it touched the metal roof, went pop.Thought damn blew the fuse as both cargo lights and the cab light no longer work
Spent an hour checking all fuses(What muppet decided to put a `hidden`fusebox behind the fusebox behind the glovebox:mad:)
anyway after `finding`this second fusebox!!!)All fuses appear intact

Any suggestions on what I could have blown please or your opinion of which fuse to check again.~Fuses I think are 68 + 71

No just went by looks.did not have any spares.will get a pack then
Ithought that when blown they would be clearly shown
Thanks for the reply

Just checked all fuses with a multimeter and visually
All OK :(
Are there any relays etc I could have blown?
Stumped here as I swapped all 5 + 10 amp fuses from a new pack to check, still no cab or cargo lights
Might have to let the garage have a look at next service...ouch
It should be a 10 amp mini fuse (often red), number 72 in my van but it is an earlier Mk7.

Give that Man a Cookie:):):)
:oI checked ,I thought,ALL fuses:o Must have missed 72 as I just this minute pulled 72 and the break was obvious to even my poor eyesight.Replaced fuse and I now have cab and cargo lights:D:D

When I got the 2nd mk7 it had a short in the wiring loom just after the connector from the main loom into the cargo area. This is a pain as the OBD2 diagnostic port shames the same fuse, when I bought it I couldn't do a check with my scanner and had to rely on a good old fashioned test drive & inspection. It took me a while to find the fault, thankfully the van had no codes but had a bit of a "knock" under full throttle which turned out to be a faulty prv on the fuel rail. I did get it heavily discounted due to the issue, prv was £80 and about an hour of my time to fix/diagnose.

Glad I took the chance on it now, I paid £2100 for a one owner 56 plate T280 mk7 with a/c. OK so it had done 150k but it drives fine now & I've had it for over a year with no other faults, probably paid for itself already with the amount of work it's done for my business so far.
