Transmission is awful, alternatives?

Hi, Transmission just refuses to download at a decent speed (higher than 3kb/sec) and i'm getting sick of its constant problems to get working. Is there any other lightweight alternatives? I don't wait a large program (Azerus sp?) but i heard uTorrent for mac is in the works? Is there any info on this?

It turns out the torrent died at 83%

Anyway, i dont have a green light in preferences but dont have a problem with the speed, since i forwarded the port to my router. Looks like i just suck at choosing the right torrents
