Transmission update

The update page always looks the same.. there's never any "wow" factor, because they just list the fixes.

It's a good app, but they need a better website.

This update got blocklists! Whatever your opinion of them (mine is that they don't really stop a great deal in the big picture but it's a minimum layer of security) it now allows me to use it as my main client :D

Just DHT and RSS Feeds to get now and bye bye Azureus.

Ooo yes!

/me ticks the blocklist button and smiles to himself :)

It only uses level 1 blocklists though hence only blocking 215,000 IPs.

Unlike PeerGuardian which uses L1 & L2 and blocks about 1,000,000,000 IPs iirc :p

Right on. Personally, I refuse to use software unless its changelog features transparent PNGs with that reflection effect.

Well, what I tried to explain is, that, when you visit the website you aren't instantly aware that the changes they made actually matter.

Personally, I have no idea how many users would know what..

Code:
[B]GTK+[/B]
+ Inhibit hibernation when downloading
+ Use XDG basedir spec for configuration files

..would mean, or if it would affect them (this is an example)

It would be better if they just gave you a link to the newest download, and highlighted some interesting stats. For instance, "now loads 5% quicker" is going to make me download it, instead of the same copy-n-paste layout that they're using now.

Perhaps changing the dock icon altogether would be better ;)
