Right, just been messing around with the various Line Stats and so on. I have a good SNR, but not fantastic Attenuation.
SNR: 12db
Attenuation (Down): 39.5dB
Now that's fairly decent, obviously the stats show most people are lucky to get up to about 4mb. I can pull 12mb on ADSL2+. Now I've been doing some research into Transmit Power and mine seems too low for the line and I was wondering if this was affecting my attenuation. My Transmit Power is showing as 12.1dB yet some of the sites I've seen say that for short lines (I'm 700m as the crow flies from the exchange, and about 850m in cable length) it should be above 20db.
Have I got the wrong end of the stick or is the Transmit Power on my line too low?
