as i was browsing the driver section on guru3d i came across this :
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=193280

all of the info is on there, but basically all you need is Forceware 91.45 with this modded inf http://my.opera.com/rejzor/homes/files/nv4_disp_FW9145.zip and a geforce 6 series card!

http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=1468
they have updated the driver set with the inf included, all geforce cards should be supported now

so there you have it, a geforce 7 series feature now available for your 6 series card. and from the looks of those screenshots it works too

Also thanks to sunlitsix for posting this or I would never have found it, I love SSAA! :D

 i knew it would make 6 series owners happy :D

that was a nice comparisoon you did there, did you use the built in time demo for the tests?

wonder if the SSAA is done via software or the GPU itself is doing the work.

Test Settings

A64 3000+ at 2.6Ghz
1Gb ram
7600GT at 720/1750

Game Settings:
Resolution - 1280x1024
Model Detail - High
Texture Detail - High
Shader Detail - High
Water Detail - Reflect All
Shadow Detail - High
FSAA - 2x / 4x
FSAF - 8x throughout
vsync - Disabled
HDR - Full

Results

graphbw2.jpg

2xAA w/o SSAA = 82fps
2xAA with SSAA = 84fps

4xAA w/o SSAA = 80fps
4xAA with SSAA = 78fps

best performance is at 2xAA with SSAA, which has similar IQ with 4xAA w/o SSAA

a little update, they are now looking at ways of getting this to work in other driver sets :)

wonder if nvidia were actually ment to reveal this in the driver set? and if they will continue to allow it to work on the 6 series in future driver sets...
