I'm sure I tried converting even with the carriages and it still didn't work.
However, the train you want to convert has to be the only train in that depot, sell it, then with the depot window still open, convert the depot, then buy a brand new train using the old details. The new train will keep the orders of the old train

Seems like a lot of effort to do over 100 trains or so :/
Aye, but I've just upgraded again to maglev on my SP game. Raking in stupid amounts of profit with 400mph trainsDefinititely worth it. Now, what to do with £700 million...
so you basically send single trains to each depot and conver them?
Just coming up to 100m in the MP game, converted one of my passenger lines to Maglev, man do they go fast

Took me around half a year ingame time to convert the track, trains and to do a few modifications to thte junctions and bridges. I had all my trains in groups so I just noted how many were in group X, copied their orders to a maglev train and cloned it.

Bit annoying - someone did it to snowdog as well!Bit harsh that, quite funny though!

Ahh the good old days have come flooding back!
Pity I've taken over AI Player 2 for my team. Blew the £4 million in the kitty building new layouts/clearing out old crap.
Only remembered how to do electric track/kit after I had blew all my cash on diesel kit.
Must get some WD40 to get rid of the rusty memory of this game.
