I'm breaking my Type R after my accident and someone has just bought the engine from me and has asked me to deliver/get it delivered for him.

Can the engine be transported on it's side/horizontally? or does it have to be upright? He's bought the bare engine so it wont have gearbox, manifolds or anything on it, just the bare complete block. Will obviously be drained of any fluids/oil.

It's a K20 engine out of a EP3 Type R.

Should have no issues at all

Only issue weve had in the past was due to fuel in the fuel rail absolutely stinking out the car, that really wasnt good

Brilliant and the engine wont have anything on it such as gearbox, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, fuel rail, throttle body, alternator etc etc. I'm taking everything off and all fluids will be removed :)

might be worth marking the crank and cam positions on just in case a belt slips. Assuming you're shipping it with cranks, pistons etc which you're not too clear on.

There is no such thing as 'removing all fluids from the engine' :). Something will find a way to leak out of somewhere, so put down plenty of old rags/blankets etc underneath if you want to keep the vehicle you're delivering in clean.

Drain it then set fire to anything that's still dripping out, should do the job* :p

*Don't do this
