Trashes folder on mac memory stick pens

Hi There

I have a mac and pc and everytime i use a memory stick on the mac it puts a folder and file called "Trashes"

when i put the pen drive into the pc usb slot it shows the files on the root directory of the pen drive.

Does anyone know how to stop the mac from doing this?
