Hi,

My brother is shooting off to Aus soon and I was thinking of creating a blog and gallery - mainly for my mum and other family members. I was hoping to do it all mostly from open source software mainly because I have very little time for dev and its been an ice age since I've done anything like this. So I was hoping for some recommendations. I was a very simple blog and gallery, these need to be simple to use as my brother is a bit of a technophobe.

Wordpress for the blog and something like gallery2 for the erm, well gallery
Unless there is a quicker gallery in WP of course...worth a look at WP plugins

If you fancy using an external service, getjealous.com is worth a look.

yeah getjealous is definitely worth investigating

or try WP with NextGen gallery.
