From what I understand, you are covered for your holidays from the minute you book if you already have a policy, but if you arrange travel insurance after booking - They won't cover you if flights/accommodation are cancelled before you travel
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong
So what happens if you are with one provider and want to switch providers but you already have holidays booked/paid for? Will the new company cover you in the event of cancellation before travel?
