travellers check cashing

Some noob just smashed a ladyboy but thats beside the point. Hes payed him/her with a travellers check. The pay this cheque to the order of is blank. I know he hasn't been robbed as I saw him leaving the guest house with a big smile on his face and I've spoke to him since. I have offered to cash the check as the ladyboy is my friend. Has he made a drunk mistake and ripped the ladyboy off or can I place my name in the "pay this cheque to the order of" and cash the cheque. Also do I need to take my ID to the bank ?

As for the traveller's cheque, I think your friend has been scammed. Last time I cashed one (15+ years ago) they were looking for signatures, and passport - and you can cancel them very easily. I would imagine they're already cancelled.

But regardless of that... wut?

I don't care what it means or what you're asking, I'm just quoting it so that when you're either a) sober or b) able to speak English properly, you'll not be able to hide away and pretend you didn't write it.

I would continue, it is worth the read. I have no idea what he is going on about other than that he has a ladyboy friend and a cheque is involved somehow, but I feel it may be a thread worth following!
 
For those of you doubting. ladyboys have allot of trust issues with banks and other high up establishments in Asia because they are notorious for being idiots stealing/robbing etc. Hence why they have asked me to cash the cheque.
