So,

I'm constantly travelling about, and getting fed up with 8 hour flights/trains/buses etc with in ear headphones. I want something more comfortable. But I still want them to sound good too, I don't expect the same levels of my X2s and I'll also need closed. Been looking at the AKG Y50BT.

Anyone tried anything better, around the same budget? Probably max of £150.

Sony MDR-1A or if your ears are not too large, the Sony MDR-100AAP (mine fit inside but only just). Both sound great, with the 1A being a bit of a bass monster, without losing out on mids or highs, with a good sound stage for a closed back and ridiculously comfortable. The 100AAP isn't lacking in bass either and while the quantity is a bit less than the 1A, the bass is faster and with more attack. Both of these are in a different league to the MDR-V6, which is a very old studio monitor design, I still have mine, my nephews use them on my computer when I want some peace and quiet. :D

Sadly the BT versions are a lot more expensive than the wired versions. I suppose BT isn't a must, but the convenience would be very nice.

There is a set of Philips M2BTBK in a warehouse deal at the moment for £113.

Warehouse deal? Can't find them anywhere? Can you link?

just search for Philips M2BTBK and click on the result and then click on where it says "used, from"

Awesome, they get mixed reviews but they are reviewed as a much higher priced set of cans. I prefer over, but we shall see how I get on. I'll get £100 all day long for them 2nd hand anyway :)
