Travelling with Macbook Pro?

Is it ok to bring Macbook Pro with me to the plane? It has been a couple of years since airlines banned laptops with sony battery I think, I am not sure if that is changed now.

I will be going to Japan this Tuesday.

taken my ibook, macbook and macbook pro on plains over the last 3 years and been fine everytime

Yeah it will be fine as mentioned, you usually have to remove it from hand luggage for security to xray separately so have it easily accessible.

If your seat has power (see here for details seatguru.com ) it is worth getting one of these (if you plan to use it for long periods) Apple MagSafe Airline Adapter. I use my Macbook to watch dvds or catch up on work and this means I can use it for as long as needed.
