I have been travelling to Belgium (Bruge/Ostend/Adinkerke/De Panne)from Hull for years and wonder if anyone on here has done the same? If so where did you go when you got to Zeebrugge?

Yeah done it a few times. The city of Bruges is lovely in the summer. Nice place to walk around and chill out with a beer besides park and the canals. Loved it. Nice for a weekend break or 2/3 night stay.

I stayed there for a couple of days after I had been to the Rock Werchter Festival near Leuven. You can also get a cheap busride to Amsterdam.

Done it a few times for work,

Drive to Rotterdam and onwards to dusseldorf, return via calais though as they have stupid fare systems where it's cheaper to book a day return than a return 3 days later.
I ditch the return.

Last time I went from Dus-Sheffield without getting out of my car :D

I grew up in Waterloo, and it's a nice town with some serious historic background, the local museums are decent enough and I can recommend either l'Amusoir (for an amazing steak) or La Mezzanine de Tony (italian) as two very decent restaurants. Places to stay include Martin's Grand Hotel or for the more budget-concious the Ibis. Only a stones throw away from Brussels as well if you want to get some shopping in down Rue Neuve (and make sure you stop off for an obligitary Gauffre Belge from the Belgauffre kiosks dotted around the place, best euro you'll ever spend).

Edit: Also saw someone mention Leuven, that's a fantastic student town with many cheap drinking establishments (and the odd Fritteuse).
