I am about to purchase the E8500 and I am considering replacing the stock heatsink/fan with a Noctua. I am, however, a little concerned about damaging it when removing/applying thermal paste. I wont be overclocking so
1) Is it worth it? (Is the stock fan loud?)
2) What's the best way to handle the CPU if I'm removing the paste, place it in mobo first and clamp it there while I work on it?

Thanks all ;)

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. :) I might just go with the stock setup...I'd feel uneasy handling the CPU too much when attempting to remove the pre-applied thermal paste. (I know it's probably an illusory fear).
