All,

Got this new shed errected yeterday

Concrete base - Thick plastic Mesh (this) - Firestone epdm on roof

South side is pretty much against a high wall (1/2 foot) - so little to no exposure.
East side is about 1 foot along the fence.
West and north sides are accessible.

I applied 2 coats of Barrettine wood protective to sides that i won't be able to easily access before putting shed up - Also to all edges of every panel, and also underbase.
I will apply same product to accessible sides this week.

Now, the question is, from the inside, i was wondering if there is anything that i can use to protect the wood, particularly the sides that i can access from outside, and the base as well maybe? Something that would go deep enough to reach the exterior. Ideally, a one off paint, oil, preservative,.... whatever.
If i have to empty the shed every year or so to reapply, that's also ok.
Ultimatly i wish to keep it light in there, so nothing that would make wood go dark.

Thanks.

Paint that does both sides of the wood at the same time?

I believe if you go to your local diy centre and ask for some “stripey paint” ive heard that it soaks all the way thru the whole shed if you just paint one corner.

As long as you've got decent ventilation and are not considering using it as a Turkish bath, painting the inside is not really needed, but if you do, then just use the same inside as outside (as long as it it suitable for inside use)

Thanks Noob.
I can't actually find anything about stripey paint that would meet my requirements - Would you have a link to a specific product please?

Thanks. No water inside shed - i have two vents that will be fitted opposite sides.
I am concerned about the 2 sides that i can't access to re-apply protection though - so something that can go all the way though the wood is what i would like to apply. Cheers

Sika Clear Wood Preserver is pretty good. It's very easy to apply, almost like a wash, and penetrates deeply. I've used it on a fence and no sign of rot after a couple of years. It also says it's suitable for internal use. I would say it's worth doing as it's not expensive.

You can also find a datasheet on the Sika website, I think it's this one:
