Not sure if this is the correct section but I have a set of edifier 1280db's set up to my tv for gaming.
Currently there set at bass-0 and treble-0
They range from -6 to +6
Which settings would be best to use? It'll just be racing games and call of duty. I've read that the treble needs to be set slightly higher than bass to hear footsteps properly and have been playing g about with it but just wandered if people had a setting they used

Ermmm..... best setting will be the one that sounds best to you, not the one that sounds best to us, we dont have your ears

Was more to see what others used so I could try it and see what sounds best

David, the sound settings on your speakers are as individual to you as the food you.like and the size and style of clothes you buy. It also depends on the volume at which you play. When the speaker level is low, you'll often find that a little extra bass and treble helps to balance the sound. When it's louder, you won't need so much boost, if any.

You see, there are far too many variables to contend with to be so prescriptive about the position of a couple of rotary dials. If you know what you're listening for, then simply adjust the treble up until you can hear it, and if you turn the dial down a fraction and it goes away then you'll where the pointer needs to be. IOW, trust your ears.
