Hi I am new to the whole 3d printing world and I am running into problems with my tree supports what is happening is half way up the print one of the supports starts to move. Heard a little sound like the print head is hitting one side. Did a bit of research on this issue and found some things to try like making the Brim size bigger and using some 3d glue for the heat bed. The print is holding better but even still one side is still doing the problem. Done a level bed check any help be great
Thanks inadvance

Managed to work out how to uplaod images :) From the first image its the support on the left but this is happening on nearly all of my prints that use supports the printer i am using is a Neptune 4 plus could it be my support settings on Cura?

Looks like you've got the 'support on build plate only' or equivalent option enabled. This keeps the model as clean as possible but those trees definitely look a bit optimistic.

Alternatively is there an option to increase the support thickness? Will obviously impact filament use and print time but might make them more stable.

things like that are not very fdm printer friendly..
try slowing down your support print speed look at the print and see if plastic is curling

Looks to me like those tree supports may benefit from support.... Optimistic as above, if you're able to paint supports you may have joy making your own.

just reading your OP I’m not really following, is it lifting off the bed as well as the supports breaking?

Ive never liked or had much luck with supports but recently the supports has beet great and I dont mind using them at all now..Heres a print I did a few weeks ago and printed flawless and the supports came off from the print really easily even though I was using PETG filament. And heres my support settings....

Also in the "printer settings" use ("Z hop type" normal), ("z hop when retracting" 0.18),,, and on the "others" tab untick "reduce infill retraction".. Oh yes set the print speed to 35mm for the 2 supports speeds aswell...... I hope this helps

Edit: It sounds like you need to get your bed level first somehow as if the nozzle is scrapping the bed on the 1 side it wont be able to stick down the first layer properly to the bed and its more than likely scraping off the filament as its laying it down

^ I think my sons used to watch that cartoon when they were very young back in the early 90's. Is that the one where the baby refers to the father as "not the mummy"? :D

Yeah thats the 1 and anyone who wants to try and print these out... here's the stl's for all 3 characters, cant find where I downloaded them, so Ive uploaded them to my onedrive.. I printed out all 3 together, didnt think they would print for a second, but the Creality Hi is one hell of a awesome printer as it just prints anything you throw at it with ease.
