Evening All,

These wooden trellis frames put up around 6 years ago or so have weathered and are now beginning to perish. Frames coming apart (nailed) and the innards have become brittle and broken.

I don't mind paying a little more for something that is going to be longer lasting. Or I was thinking about just using a series of wires.

I plan to put some Clematis up on the opposing wall which these types of frames are probably better suited to.

Suggestions/recommendations for either some harder wearing trellis or fixings/wires would be welcomed :)

Thanks,

BennyC

For something longer lasting, I would go for some stainless steel or galvanised vine eyes and garden wire.

Reinforcing mesh for concrete foundations maybe.

Saw them use it on some gardening show this week, they drilled holes in a sleeper or something and mounted it in that. Seemed interesting.
