Tri channel vs Dual channel?

Right im looking at getting this Board :

Its Tri-Channel and i was wondering firstly if normal Dual channel will work?
And secondly which would be of greater benefit to me.

6GB of Tri Channel or 8GB of Dual channel , both are the same price. I thought the extra 2GB would make it a no brainer or is there a significant speed boost with Tri channel?

I recommend just going Tri as the dual channel will hinder the performance. As the chipset is designed to work with 3 sticks of similar memory.

Subjective, would not see an iota of difference in the real world in just about anything commonly used. but i agree, might as well go Tri channel as its designed for it.
