Tri-fire working with profiles but with horizontal tearing.

I've done some experimenting with my set up (5970+5870) with BFBC2.

Firstly I uninstalled the current drivers I had. and installed in this order, and taking note of the fps of a certain scene in BFBC2 on an empty server. All installed over the top of each other (no I haven't used any driver sweepers)

10.1 drivers = 99 fps

10.2 drivers = 98 fps

10.3a drivers = 99 fps

10.3b drivers = 137 fps (but get black horizontal tearing)

10.3 drivers = 99 fps

10.3 drivers = 138 fps, with the crossfire application profiles (but get black horizontal tearing)


What the hell is going on? I get a massive increase in performance with the 10.3b BETA drivers and the 10.3 (with app. profiles).

Obviously I would love that performance but without the black tearing.


Any suggestions please.

I have same problem with anything above 10.2, i read somewhere there is a driver released to fix it for bfbc2, i'll see if i can find it

you may have allready used these, im yet to try them, but im going to give them a go anyway

Yes they are the ones I tried (see my first post), got a massive framerate boost (38 fps) but got black tearing.

Same as the App. profiles.

Anybody have an opinion as it's clear that the application crossfire profile and the 10.3b work but they have this issue.

I have tried them and you are right they have not fixed the issues with bfbc2, think i'll stick 10.2 back in as the flicker is so annoying

Yes mate, With the profile I get a massive 38-40 fps gain so hopefully it will be fixed in the future.
