Am looking at getting myself a mac before I go to university. I know that using boot camp you can run Vista or XP on a mac now, and that Linux will run on a mac but apart from that I'm still in the dark about the workings of a mac.
What I really want to know is, would it be possible to set up a tri/quad boot on a macbook or macbook pro?

Something like having Vista, XP, Linux and OS X all on one machine or at least Vista, Linux and OS X

Cheers,
Mitchel

Yes, you should be able to. Create the necessary volumes in Disk Utility and then boot from your CD/DVD. You should be able to see the volumes from within each OS' installation program.

Then when you want to change between them, hold down CTRL whilst booting. You will get a nice little GUI to select each OS.
