Good reading.

Seems adding a third GPU does give good scaling, but adding a 4th doesn't get you much extra (except for in CoD4).

4th GPU might get better with newer drivers tho.

Still from those benchies the best setup atm seems to be one X2 and one XT :D

And with the recently announced price drops on the 3870XT's... I might be severely tempted... :o

Funny how the crapfest known as crysis seems to barely budge when anything over 2 gpu's are in the mix.

Only AMD boards support tri/quad crossfire at the moment.

Edit: Though saying that, some X38 boards claim to support Crossfire-X, but I haven't seen anyone with a working setup.

Very nice read, will be interesting to see how the top end nvidia 9xxxx cards compare in their own respective SLI setup when they are released in the summer.

2 X 3870X2s in Quad CrossfireX could be a nice affordable top end gaming solution once kinks are worked out.

Would really like to see the setup on an Intel based system.
