Hi i have a weird problem when overclocking my graphics cards, when am running my monitor on 120hz i can oc cards to 1170/1690 any higher the screen flickers and then goes black screen, i have to reset pc.

I reinstalled the drivers and it reset my monitor to 60hz i did not notice so again i oc the cards this time 1270/1690 with no problems so i went to play bf4 that put the monitor to 120hz as thats what it was set at and again screen flickers then goes black, so i managed to put the game back to 60hz without restarting the pc and it stopped the black screen and flickering.

So it seem i can only push the cards so much on 120hz i did not think this would make any difference to overclocking.
Anyone have this same problem and how can i fix this?

My 290 x struggles past 1100/1300. With +63 volts. I'm on 120hz and never thought it had anything to do with it. Your clocks look amazing so don't sweat it if they aren't quite as good as for 60hz. What settings are you using for those clocks btw?

Well i just fixed my overclocking with 120hz enabled i noticed when running Valley 1.0 the volts for the second cards was not matching the top one the top one is hitting 1.286 and the bottom one is 1.144 to 1.189.
So i added a second shortcut for msi afterburner and instead off running just this in there /wi6,30,8d,17 (wi4) did not work for me so i changed it to 6.
Now i have this in the shortcut /sg0 /wi6,30,8d,17 /sg1 /wi6,30,8d,17 what this does it gave my second card the same volts as the top card now, and i added /sg0 for card one and /sg1 for the second card.
So now i leave afterburner running then click the other shortcut i made with the above line added and it changes the volts on the fly, but when overclocking the cards and you move the slider when you click apply it seems to reset the volts all you do then is just click on the shortcut again then its fine.

My normal temps on both cards is 40c but with the overclock both cards goto 50c with is fine and the vrm max is 68 - vrm 2 50 i have 2x 360 rads i still have room for another 240 or 280 rad in the top, i may add this am hoping it will lower the temps a little.
