Tribes 2

I felt a bit of nostalgia creeping up on me this morning so i had a fish around my gaming wardrobe and pulled out a copy of Tribes 2.Does anybody still play this game? I remember having it on my computer at a time and i think i quite liked it. I still have the CD in my wardrobe and was wondering if anybody is still fragging on there and if its worth installing? Are there much clans? Is it worth playing? Has it been overdone with bogus updates and boring add-ons. All the answers to these questions would be much appreciated.

One of those games that nobody else I knew played, I guess when you add in jetpacks whilst having to think/aim confuses a lot of people, and projectile weapons that take a while to hit a target. (prediction skills! ).

Aahh, the good days, don't think it'll ever be the same again.
But yeah I gotta give it a bash again I think.

BASE or nothing, I hated all the crappy mods out there.

So, its not worth installing you think? Tribes 1 was classic imo, Tribes 2 was good at the start but then i formatted and forgot to reinstall it and as i said in the first post i just stumbled across it. Ill wait for a few more responses first, thanks.

Installed, still quite a lot of players but its not as good as before lol. It hasn't got the same feel as before but i think i will stick to WoW,CS,TO,UT,Eve and others. Tribes 2 is still a good game though, anyone fancies a game add me on msn.

Classic game for sure, as i said, just felt a little nostalgic and took it out for another go and am still hooked.

If you are still keen on playing it, reinstall it, check the options and download the latest patch.

Fingers crossed lads, maybe the new mod (if it comes out) can recreate the Tribes 2 magic.

haha, nice one lol. Cloak was awesome just wiping them out.

I too used to like going stealth with a small vehicle and going for the flag or sneaking up on heavies

Stealth was excellent and so were the vehicles. :Run over him:!!!

Do you mind posting up the 32 player IP, i think i have it but the one i go onto is usually bot. Lakrabbit games are classic.
