For anyone that played tribes 2, as you know or dont know,Vivendi they have dropped support for the game, they dropped the servers logon and dont really care about how we get the game back up and running, said its up to the community to support it now. Coders have been working hard to bring the game back on line, they have done it.

We now can play tribes2, for anyone that hasnt played tribes go to the forums for more info the link above and get a copy of the which is free on fileshack etc....

This game is one of the best if not the best online action games you'll ever play in your life time, if you havent played it grab yourself a copy from fileshack etc.. its free.

The games learning curve is pretty hard, but once you learnt how to play it you'll enjoy it more than any other games you'll ever played.

If any of you would like to discuss it please feel free to post a reply i'll try and help you.

you cant be the old DoF movies or some of Goofy's trick flag caps .. ahh tribes2 was THE greatest game ever ...

just checked my old Dynamix folder and i have over 6gig of movies and ladder matches/recordings

Heh - I used to play this a lot. I don't recognise your alias mattheman?
I can't even remember what my clans were called - I founded iL (Inspiration Lost) with Stimpson, had some games with Hades, ET (Eurotroops) and was in the england team for cluster. I mostly stuck with base whilst everyone else played classic (T1 conversion mod) so we ended up dominating theladder for a few months in 10v10 and 14v14.

Haha youve never played it, were do you think all the ideas came from? cod bf etc.. they all ripped bits of tribes. the game was way ahead of its time.

Tribes 2 was very very good, Planetside took allot of its ideas from T2 and a new game of the same scale would be fantasic.
Problem was it was complicated, you really had to teach people how to play it, and it required skill and planning. therefore no mass appeal

but it made the game great...
