So, how many of you have got all your Haribos and chocolates in for the big night and how many of you misery guts have rigged your doorbell up to the mains?

Last year was very quiet round here, only had about 7 or 8 treaters

The US is completely ****** up. Harry Potter is banned from schools because it's 'not Christian' and about magic, yet they have no qualms about allowing their kids to celebrate a pagan festival.
The idea of it being a pagan festival is also the subject of much dispute

Started over here but Halloween as we know it today is very much an American thing. Immigrants from UK & Ireland brought it over to the states and then Murica did what it does best, dialied everything up to 11.

My first ever Haloween in the US was crazy, it's so much more of a big deal over there, amongst all age groups.
That doesn’t mean it’s an American holiday though

When the last time somebody chose Trick ? Seems like it should just be called Treating, unless you give the kids sweets from the Toxic drums - http://www.toxicwastecandy.co.uk/candy those things are vile, just complete sourness (the worms are really nice though)
Toxic waste sweets are lovely. Another good one to give them is fireball jawbreakers. They hurt.
