Trickling water feature next door

Sat here in my small garden. Lovely and quiet,
Next door neighbour has installed a water feature. It's not too annoying. Just a trickling thing. And they only switch it on now and again. . Not too bad really. But my brain keeps zooming in to it.
I won't mention it to them as it's really, really gentle. Me being a grumpy old git. I know that.and they are really good neighbours. Besides, I might get to like it.

Still better than an ex of mines garden though. Her neighbour had a full blown 24/7 massive fountain going,. It was constant. Jeez, it was like listening to niagra falls all day.

Thank **** no one has installed a wind chime. I count myself lucky if a slightly trickling water feature is all I have to contend with.

Why am I posting this? 'Cos I have nothing more urgent to do but sit in the garden on a glorious day such as this. Bliss :)


Edit: Edited 5 times when I spotted spelling errors on this op. Then got my reading glasses and edited for a final time :)

Sounds lovely and quiet, but have you by chance noticed that sound? Perhaps a water feature? Nothing too obnoxious but it’s there, just on the cusp of your audible range. Rather you than me, I’d find that range inducing and reposition myself to a darkened room in the house.

Why should I go to a darkened room when, I'm almost certain, I'd be found innocent, if not completely justified on an axe murdering neighbours charge?
