Hey guys,

Bit of a hand would be useful here! Just doing some practice questions for a numerical reasoning aptitude test I have coming up and I'm struggling a little with this question. I have a feeling it should be stupidly easy, and I've got an answer, but I'm not exaaaactly sure how I got there. I like to visualise exactly how things work in my head, so if somebody could do me a massive favour, work out the answer to this question, and let me know how they did it, it'd be much appreciated! :)

There's about 3,000,000 (3,000, in thousands) subscribers in 2005. So divide that by the population (20,090,000) and then multiply by 250 and you get 37.33.

So round down to 37 and that's your answer I'd say.

That's exactly how I did it. Doesn't help with everyone giving different answers though. :p

*edit* Seems lord filbuster got there in a slightly different way.

You can use a calculator btw, it's an online test. And when it says approximately, you dont do any rounding with the raw data given, only when you've got an actual result. So 37.344734 = 37.3
