My Saxo has been off the road for about 7 weeks now. I have been driving my mums mini a lot of the time but feel the saxo is being left to wrot so to speak.

It needs a new bonnet & the exhaust is a bit worse for wear. It's also making a horrid clunking noise that a mechanic friend reckons is the top mounts. I'm not willing to throw £100 at it to find out it's no better.

As my road tax is just being eaten into I want to get it back on the road as it is being wasted being stored away whilst I try and get bits for it.

Insurance wise, i'm still waiting for my NCB off quinn which is really annoying me! Phoned them 3 times and they have said we will mail it to you. Not got it yet.

I do want to get it back on the road. I can get it insured with morethan for about £55 a month but can I cancel it after 2 months and get my deposit back when I come to sell it? Are these finance agreements easy to cancel so early on?

Thanks.

I think with insurance you only have 14 days to cancel, and after that you have to pay a certain % of the left premium if you were to cancel after that period.

Ahh interesting. I will be getting another car.

Any idea who these insurers are by chance?

I think NU do it, i'm not sure who exactly. Best way is to just call and ask.

Yep, any idea what the cancellation charges are like?

Especially Morethan?
