Ok, so a works PC has 3 ATI g'cards, each with 5 display ports. This machine will be powering a wall display of 9 50" screens, to show various stuff.
Now, I've not been involved with this "project" but I have to say, I quite like 9 screens, 3 g'cards etc... but we're having problems.
Basically, not all the display ports work of the 15, perhaps 8 or 9 will output a signal. My thought is that we don't need 3 cards and can get away with 2 cards and using 9 of the 10 display ports, leaving a spare should one fail and using less power / heat etc...
Anyone done anything like this? Its not for playing games, simply disaplying either 1 big video or lots of smaller webpages for stats etc...
I've not done anything with display ports or 3 x g'cards for ages so I expect there are some "gotchas".
