Tried loading ocuk overclock now can't boot

Hi all, I've got a pre built overclocked system I bought some years ago from here. Some how the cpu overclock had been reset, I don't know how or when it happened. I have reset it before by just loading the profile in the bios with out issue.

However, trying to reset it now by loading the profile and it won't boot. It gets to the initial motherboard screen where you can load the bios from then doesn't get any further. If I try and load the bios it just shows me the blue background and a few icons. I can navigate through the options but there's no text so can't see what I'm doing, it's like its corrupted .

The motherboard is an abit ix38 quadgt with an Intel core 2 quad q6600 oc'd to 3.4ghz (or should be) . Ive tried pressing the cmos reset button that is on the back of the pc but hasn't changed anything.

Also on the motherboard it displays a POST code, which when it gets to the bit it doesn't get past its showing a 75 which looking at the manual is "detect & install all IDE devices: HDD, LS120, ZIP, CDROM". Unfortunately I don't know what its on normally when its booted up. So this may be normal.

Can somone please help me get my pc working again and hopefully the OC as well.

Thanks but that is what the cmos button on the back should have done.

Just to be clear, the system was already overclocked, it was bought that way. I was simply just trying to load the Ocuk profile.

If i remove the battery will I lose the overclock profile or will I be able to try and load it afterwards?

Well guys, I removed the cmos battery, held the power button down for about 15 seconds while unplugged, put the battery back in and powered it on. It's no different, still the same as it was

Any other suggestions or has anyone experienced this before?

ok, I've worked it out now for those interested.

A couple of years ago I had one my of HDD fail, so to replace it I put in a SSD as the boot drive. When I did this, I changed a bios setting from IDE to AHCI. loading the profile for the overclock must have reset this back to IDE so the drive wasn't loading.

I disconnected my SSD and it booted past the motherboard screen until I got a 'BOOTMGR' message. I was then able to change the bios setting back to AHCI, reconnect the SSD and boot up as normally

So I think it's all ok now. I'm hoping I can load the overclock profile again, disconnect the SSD and then change the bios setting for it, reconnect the drive and get my overclock back.
