Hi has anyone got any info about the Trifire & Eyefinity problem.. ie that you can play games on one screen with trifire no problem but when you use it with eyefinity you get mouse lag?? Its going my head in now lol Thanks!

Hi BF2, NFS Shift2, Dirt2, Metro2033, all the games i play.. just noticed i was getting around 70fps in Shift2 all max settings at 1920x1200 on 3 cards, so i ran the game again on 2 cards and the fps have gone up to 80.. been using msi afterburn so i can see the gpu usage in games and in trifire it does use all cards.. all i can think is my motherboard is holding the 3rd card back been at 4x pcie.. but if i do a benchmark just on that card running at 4x pcie the result is much like running at 8x or 16x.. lol.. Thanks

What made you think having 3 6950s was a good idea anyway? I'm sorry but most games just aren't up to 3 way scaling, even 2 GPUs prove a problem for some.

Your motherboard PCIe slots won't help but I think the problem is more fundamental.

well i play all the games at 5760x1200.. some games like metro 2033 get 30fps on 1 card and 55fps on 2 so i was thinking the 3rd would push and keep it above 60fps also the same problem with crysis.. with 3 cards i do get the big fps push i need just the stupid mouse and screen lag.. like playing a game drunk.

Looking around to 2010 a lot of people had this problem and think the crossfire bridge didn't have the bandwidth.. last hope but i'm going to try putting a 100mm bridge from the top to bottom card then connect the middle to top as well see if this make any difference :s..

Also someone said they had the same problem so they set the main display card to the middle pcie slot in the bios and this worked.. but i dont have this option on my bios.

Surely the x4 PCI-E slot will somehow be affecting it as it's not giving enough bandwidth?

Do you get the mouse lag with just two cards?

What made him think it was a good idea was because it is with the right setup
.

I have posted enough benches that shows most games scale up to 3 cards very well.
Tri fire is the sweet spot & always has been & the 6xxx scales better than these.

No lag with 2 cards :) like you said must be the 4x slot, also Asrock bringing out a extreme7 soon that has 16x16x8x so they must no the extreme 4 cant handle 3 cards..

Thanks for the benchmarks :)
